That depends on how you use it, and we'll give you a straight answer at the counter. These phones no longer get iOS feature updates, but they still handle calls, messages, photos, and most apps fine — so a battery swap to keep a working phone alive, or a screen fix on a phone you're passing to a family member, is often money well spent. If you're due for more than one major repair, we'll tell you honestly when the math favors upgrading instead.
The XR shipped with an LCD rather than OLED, and LCD panels simply cost less — making the XR one of the most affordable Face ID iPhones to fix. The X and XS take OLED-class panels, and we offer LCD and Soft OLED grades on those too so you control the price.
