iPhone 8, 8 Plus, SE (2020), and SE (2022) — screens, batteries, charging ports, and home buttons, usually the same day.
The iPhone 8 body refuses to retire — Apple built the SE 2020 and SE 2022 on the same design, which means the classic Home Button iPhone was sold new as recently as 2024, and both SE generations still run the current version of iOS. Whether you're keeping a trusty 8 alive or fixing an SE that's barely two years old, Cell N Comp Repairs stocks everything: our screen replacement service handles these LCD panels at some of the friendliest prices of any iPhone, and our battery replacement service swaps a fresh zero-cycle cell in about 20–30 minutes — all backed by our 30-day warranty. Current prices are always in the tables below. West Ridge, Logan Square, or Skokie — walk in or book online.

All four models share the same 4.7" Retina HD LCD (the 8 Plus runs the larger 5.5" version) — and shared parts across an 8-year production run means these are among the most affordable and fastest screen replacements we do. Our screen replacement service completes most jobs in about 30 minutes and is backed by our 30-day warranty.
An original iPhone 8 battery is long past its prime, and even SE 2022 cells are hitting the age where daily chargers notice the fade. Fast drain, shutdowns, or a screen lifting at the edge (swollen cell — stop charging, come in) all point the same way. Our battery replacement service covers all four models with zero-cycle cells, typically takes 20–30 minutes, and is warrantied for 30 days.
Lightning ports on this body style see years of daily insertions, and lint buildup or worn contacts cause most charging complaints — our free diagnostic and a deep clean solve many without parts. When the assembly is worn, our charging port repair replaces it the same day on all four models.
This is the last iPhone body with the physical Home Button and Touch ID, and button issues — unresponsive clicks, lost haptics — are a signature repair here (see the FAQ below for the honest Touch ID story). Shattered back glass, hazy cameras, and muffled speakers round out the list, all priced in the tables above. Our button repair, back glass replacement, camera repair, and speaker repair services cover all four models.
We repair the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and both SE generations at all three of our shops — West Ridge on Western Ave, Logan Square on Diversey, and Skokie's Eastgate Plaza on Dempster — with easy parking at every location and most repairs done the same day. Whether you're in the city or the north suburbs, including Evanston and Lincolnwood, there's a Cell N Comp shop nearby, all backed by the same 30-day warranty.
Whatever you're carrying — iPhone 8, SE, SE 2 or 8 Plus — Cell N Comp Repairs gets it fixed fast, usually the same day. Use the links above to see details and pricing for each repair, or contact us to schedule a service at any of our three stores.
Yes — most screen replacements for this body style are completed in about 30 minutes at all three stores, and current prices are always listed in the tables above.
Check Settings → General → About → Model Name, or bring it in, and we'll identify it on the spot. The SE (2020) and SE (2022) share the iPhone 8 body and are covered on this page — and both still run the current version of iOS, so they're excellent phones to repair. If you have the original small SE from 2016, we service that too; its prices are listed on our screen, battery, and charging port pages.
Here's the honest answer most shops won't give up front: the Touch ID sensor is cryptographically paired to your phone's logic board by Apple, so a replacement button restores tapping and navigation but cannot restore fingerprint unlock — that's an Apple security design, not a repair shortcut. If your original button is damaged but partially working, we'll tell you whether preserving it is the better play before touching anything.
Every repair on this body style comes with a 30-day parts-and-labor warranty across all three stores. If anything's off with the part we installed, bring it back and we'll make it right.
