Usually, yes. The 12 was the first MagSafe iPhone, and the magnet array sits just under the back glass — a hard drop or a carelessly performed back glass repair can weaken the alignment. We can inspect the array, and if the magnets or coil are damaged, replacement restores full snap strength and wireless charging.
Often, yes. A battery replaced two or three years ago has burned through its own cycles by now, and the rest of a 12 — the A14 chip, the OLED screen, 5G — still holds up fine for everyday use. If the phone otherwise works well, a second battery is far better math than a new phone. If other failures are stacking up, we'll tell you straight.
Ceramic Shield (which debuted on the 12) made the front tougher against drops, but tougher isn't unbreakable — edge impacts and concrete are still stronger than any phone glass. It also doesn't help the back, which is regular glass. Either way, both are replaceable, and this series is among the more affordable to fix.
